Baax is a digital solution for financial management in the construction industry, designed to handle large and complex building projects. The platform automates invoice processing and provides an intuitive approval flow for accountants, advisors, and project owners (bygherre), ensuring that invoices and supporting documents are quickly and efficiently handled.

 

The system offers a complete overview of budgets, finances, and cash flows, while also managing contracts between project owners, advisors, and contractors. Change orders and additional work are automatically linked to contracts, keeping budgets up to date and always reflecting the current financial situation.

Problem

Managing finances in large construction projects is highly complex. Project owners (bygherre) often juggle multiple spreadsheets, emails, and disconnected tools to track budgets, invoices, and contracts. This leads to:

  • Lack of a unified financial overview.
  • Time-consuming invoice approval processes.
  • High risk of manual errors when updating budgets and contracts.

Goal

The goal of the MVP was to design a single, intuitive platform for project owners that would:

  • Centralize financial data across projects.
  • Automate invoice handling and approval workflows.
  • Keep budgets up to date by linking contracts, change orders, and invoices.
  • Provide scalability for additional user roles (advisors, contractors, accountants) in later iterations.

Baax simplifies financial management for construction projects with a set of core features designed to increase transparency, automate workflows, and keep projects on track.

Smart Invoice Management

Automated approval flows ensure invoices are reviewed by the right roles. Only paid invoices can be fully approved, reducing errors and delays.

Real-Time Budget Oversight

Budgets update instantly after approvals of extra work or agreement slips, providing a transparent, always-up-to-date picture of project finances.

Contract Management

Contracts are created, stored, and linked to budgets and invoices. Track signature status and changes in one central place.

Agreement Slips (Aftalesedler)

Digital change orders that, once approved, automatically update the project budget and are tied to the correct contracts and invoices.

Documentation & Organization

All contracts, invoices, and slips are stored in one place with search, filters, and an audit trail for accountability.
